The Background

                                                         A new joint venture between UK public service broadcast companies has been created to offer a free-to-view satellite television service - known as Freesat.

This proposition encompasses the broadcast channels, EPG, set top box, satellite dish and the end to end customer experience. Part of the success of this service will be in its design and execution, including the role of retailers, manufacturers and installers.

The JV asked CVL to advise and support in the development of processes and with the interaction amongst JV partners, retailers and installers.

The CVL Solution

CVL supported the JV partners in retailer and installer planning and communications.

CVL developed the service processes, the customer journeys and a critical path identifying key dates and dependencies in the plan.

CVL also supported the proposition and helped in retailer understanding, including a detailed point of sale budget within the marketing plan.
